Ronaldo completes Real deal

Cristiano Ronaldo's world-record transfer to Real Madrid from Manchester United has been completed.

An "unconditional £80m" fee was agreed between the clubs last month and then came an announcement last Friday that the deal had been finalised and Ronaldo would become a Real player today.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson told the club's official website: "Everyone here wishes him well in his future career."
